Who we are

Penny Shield, LLC operates this website and provides Medicare plan education and licensed insurance agency services. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

This policy applies to https://pennyshield.io and to the forms on it. It does not apply to insurance carriers, government agencies or other third parties whose own privacy policies govern their handling of your information.

Information we collect

We collect information in three ways: information you give us directly, information collected automatically by your browser, and information we receive from service providers acting on our behalf.

Information you provide directly through our forms may include:

• Your mobile telephone number
• Your email address
• Your ZIP code or state of residence
• The type of coverage you are asking about, and any details you volunteer in a message
• Your consent selections, including whether you agreed to receive calls or text messages

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, standard web server and browser information may be recorded, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, the pages you view and the date and time of your visit. We use essential browser storage only; see our Cookie Policy for details.

We do not use this information to identify you personally, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site.

How we use your information

• To have a licensed agent contact you about Medicare plan options, if you asked us to
• To send you the text messages you specifically consented to receive, if you opted in
• To maintain records of consent as required by federal and state telemarketing law
• To operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve this website
• To comply with legal obligations, including insurance regulatory and record-retention requirements

Mobile information and SMS consent

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

If you opt in to receive text messages, your mobile number and your consent record are used only to deliver the messages you asked for and to prove that you asked for them. We do not sell, rent, lease or otherwise transfer mobile opt-in data or SMS consent to any third party for their own marketing.

The only parties who may process your mobile number are the messaging platform and telecommunications carriers required to actually deliver a message to your handset, and they may use it solely for that purpose.

When we disclose information

We do not sell your personal information. We disclose it only in the following circumstances:

• To licensed insurance agents and insurance carriers, when necessary to answer your question, provide a quote, or process an application you asked us to submit
• To service providers who host our website, deliver our email or messages, or provide security and analytics, under contracts that limit them to processing on our instructions
• When required by law, subpoena, regulatory examination or other legal process
• To protect the rights, property or safety of our customers, our staff or the public
• In connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to the commitments in this policy
• Never: mobile opt-in data and SMS consent are excluded from every category above and are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes

How long we keep information

We retain the information you submit for as long as needed to respond to your request and to meet our legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations. Consent records for calls and text messages are retained for at least the period required by applicable telemarketing regulations, currently no less than five years from the date consent was given or withdrawn.

When information is no longer required, we delete it or render it anonymous.

Security

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect the information you provide, including encrypted transmission over HTTPS and access controls limiting who may view submissions. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

• Opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message
• Ask us to stop calling you, and ask to be added to our internal Do Not Call list, by emailing [email protected]
• Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of information that is inaccurate
• Request deletion of your information, subject to records we are legally required to keep
• Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have additional rights, including the right to appeal a denied request; contact us at [email protected] and we will respond within the timeframe your state requires

Children

This website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The revision date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be posted here before they take effect. This policy was last updated on September 23, 2026.
